Merry Christmas

Hello my lovelies :) A BIG Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Little Doolally followers and a huge Thank You to all of you that have bought a pattern this year ♥

Things have been pretty busy around here getting ready for the Big Day tomorrow. Buying, wrapping and giving out presents, so not much time for hooky I'm afraid. One year I would just love to make all the presents I give out instead of buying, or at least buying them all from other fellow designer/makers.

Anyho...for the time being, I hope my patterns have inspired some of you guys to make special gifts for those you care for.

However, I have been working on a little something with the gorgeous DROPS Merino Extra Fine yarn in these yummy colours...

It will be a pattern for a little baby blanket (just in case you needed another!)

Weaving in ends, yawn Zzzzz
 I love this stitch and it's so easy, I can't wait to share it with you very soon :)

I hope you all have a fab Christmas what ever you are doing and where ever you are going. See you in the new year!

Ta Tah for now!

Retro Purse Please

Howdy! Just popping by for a quickie. I remembered a little something I made a while ago and only just got round to taking photos of it - my new purse :)

I loved the stitch to make the 'Retro Baby Blanket' so much, I adapted it to make this wonderfully coloured coin purse.

For those who have the pattern and would like to have a go, simply work your stitches over 30ch +1 for turning. I used 17 colours, but you can use however many you like.

Fold your finished piece in half and sew the sides together with a neat running stitch. If you are feeling adventurous, why not add a vintage lining and zip...

I made a few of my own labels too to put in/on projects just to give that little finishing touch. They are sooo easy to make, I will write about it in the very near future so you can make your own too!

I hope you are all enjoying getting the last of your Christmas presents together. Hey - why not make this colourful accessory as a gift for someone special :)

If you are looking for the original Retro Baby Blanket pattern, then here it is;

Enjoy your week,

Bye for now :)
